Approved by the Executive Board: September and October Member Meetings will be event planning meetings. Members, please come and sign up to join a committee.
In today’s society, social media has become ingrained in the early stages of business plan formations. BAE actively works with the trend and monitors its growth in social media. Within one year of obtaining social media, BAE has grown its presence while creating an avenue for collaboration for its members and supporters.
Signing in through the BAE app will be required at meetings, event set-ups, and events, but to be eligible for any contest or record-keeping, the app will be required.
We will utilize the notifications from the BAE app to their maximum potential. We will scale back the use of emails and phone calls in order to become a more efficient association.
In regard to travel, we will continue to elect delegates via the traditional vote. Those who will be eligible to be on the voting ballot will be the top percentage of members who attend a majority of the event set-ups, event take-downs, the actual event, member meetings, and BAE-supported activities. This will ensure that all members have an opportunity to travel and learn. Everyone deserves a chance to network among their colleagues from across the nation. We will track attendance via the BAE app. For example, if a member attends an event and wishes that his or her attendance be noted, he or she will open the BAE app and hand his or her phone to the designated event check-in, who will type a code into the app to give the member credit for attending.
Over the past year, the BAE Constitutional Committee has worked hard to prepare a draft of a constitution that is in compliance with the National Education Association and Georgia Association of Educators. You may read the current constitution (last updated 2006) and 2015 DRAFT of the BAE constitution that will be presented to the membership by the Constitutional Committee. This draft will be a suggested starting point for the committee.
We welcome anyone to join any committee. Please contact us if you are interested. We would love to have you!
We encourage you to check out Global Meet and familiarize yourself with the software. We will implement this new technology throughout the year. https://www.globalmeet.com
